If you are willing and ready to work we want to meet you! The Delivery Driver (DD) is in charge of receiving orders from the expeditors and delivering and transaction such orders to the customers.
The DD checks the order on the package and drives it to the customer, whereby the DD will assist the customer with any inquires they have and then finish by receiving the cash payment and inputting the information into the website point of sale system Blaze.
Each delivery driver is in charge of inspecting the vehicle assigned to them before they begin driving it and making sure that the vehicle is filled with gas.
Please note that we are specifically looking for candidates who can have a FLEXIBLE work schedule.
This position will require the employee to work a mix of different shift times (mornings, mids & nights) as well as working the weekends.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and facilitate delivery order Educate the customer by describing a product's features and benefits, demonstrate use and operation of the product.
Answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise make suggestions and encourage questions.
Receive orders from the expeditors Drive company vehicle to make deliveries to customers Complete customer transactions through cash payment Manage several phone applications Update point-of-sale system Conduct vehicle inspections prior to first delivery Ensure vehicle is clean and filled with gas at the end of shift Punctual and consistent shift attendance.
Must comply with expectations that are aligned with company policy and union contracts REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent active listening skills.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
Ability to anticipate customers needs.
Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle and frequent entering and exiting of delivery vehicle Periods of standing and walking to and from delivery vehicle and customer location May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
